mavic fpv drone racing and the DJI googles

are probably aware that DJI has recently announced it’s new recreational Drone which is called the Mavic. While the Drone contains a impressive number of features it is very clear that they see a market in the Drone Racing segment. It includes what they call a sports mode, which tilts the Drone for increased speed (about 40 mph according to the announcement), it also market DJI googles for use with the drone.  Previously DJI pilots have needed to use an FPV kit from other manufacturers, such as Fat Shark , to get an immersive, VR-like flight experience. The company’s decision to produce its own says a lot about this growing trend in the drone industry, which is by no means limited to FPV racers.
